Plus loin, vers l'ouest et le sud ouest, on descend dans une immense plaine quelque peu ondul�e, arros�e par le Lualaba et ses affluents. Les deux principales tribus qui habitent cette plaine sont les Bena - Kabwile au nord - est du Mweru, et les Baluba, dont le pays se prolonge vers le nord jus qu'aux bords de la Lukuga.
