It takes into account international standards and contains many cross references. Some quantitative microscopy and photometry terms have also been included.;It is hoped that the recommended terms will be used in manufacturers' publications, on teaching courses and in scientific papers, and that the book will be of interest to light microscopists in the fields of biology, botany, materials science, metallurgy and crystallography.
