Agricola, john, a German divine, whose real name was Schnitter, was born at Eisleben, in 1490 or 1492, and was a disciple of Luther, and a popular minister. The sect of the Antinomians was founded by him; but it appears to be, a calumny that he taught the inutility of good works.
