Publisher's Synopsis
Three classic crime capers based on the comic strip character Dick Tracy. In 'Dick Tracy's Dilemma' (1947), super sleuth Dick Tracy (Ralph Byrd) encounters a psychotic murderer called 'The Claw' (Jack Lambert), who murders his victims with a metal hook. In 'Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome' (1947), the notorious criminal mastermind Gruesome (Boris Karloff) breaks out of prison and develops a sinister paralysing gas that he uses in a series of daring bank robberies. Dick Tracy (Byrd) is soon hot on his heels, ably assisted by his girlfriend Tess Trueheart (Anne Gwynne). In 'Dick Tracy Vs Cueball' (1946), Tracy (Morgan Conway) must break up a gang of jewel thieves. But the gang is double-crossed by bald strangler Harry 'Cueball' Lake (Dick Wessel), who keeps stealing the jewels before they do.
