Publisher's Synopsis
A new mathematical model of the psyche which also includes the soul. All new theory beginning with Freud's "Iceberg Theory" of the id, ego, and superego. Includes the five psychosexual states (modernized to no include a vaginal stage corresponding to the penal stage). All the math comes from the Theory of Orbits and orbital/celestial mechanics, predominantly the Three Body Problem. Profusely illustrated and with many examples from relationship dynamics, political events, global cultures and basic psychology so that the material is accessible to the general public. There is no math per se, but it is all illustrated in the diagrams which come from the Three Body Problem of celestial mechanics. There is a special focus on the role of social media, especially in the formative and teen years. The project is not meant to be a directly diagnostic tool, but rather it develops an overall theory of the psyche along with all the underlying mathematical tools to be further developed by others. An emphasis is placed upon the role of spirituality and the soul in reinforcing the psyche against the many dangers posed by the modern world via powerful advertising, the media, and social media applications that are ubiquitous with the younger generations. The result is a body of work that has all the complexity and depth needed to model the complete developmental growth of the human psyche plus all possible dysfunctions. The material is structured as a fractal theory based on the Three Body Problem, with many different levels from the psyche to various physiological systems of the human body, most notably sexuality. The fractal organization draws upon analytical support from a wide range of astronomical phenomena and the force of gravity ("a parabolic approach to a love interest, hoping for a close approach, but the dynamics were miscalculated and the poor sod flew right on by and careened off into deep space") in various settings. The presentation is informal and entertaining, but also provocative in the many comparisons made between rocket science and the science of the mind. Also adressed is the invasive nature of modern artificial-intelligence-driven advertising online and in social media, and how it influences individuals, especially young people, who do not yet have the psychic defenses to withstand.
