Until now, the selection of typefaces has still meant pouring over typesetters' catalogues and pasting up desired type. This book is purpose-planned to overcome such design problems. It contains a comprehensive range of typefaces for every design purpose.;Each page is split into four flip-over swatches, providing the designer with a changing "palette" of typefaces with which to mix and match accordingly. The 300 typefonts are divided into standard and decorative faces. Each individual swatch features one typeface in different sizes, heading, sub-heading, text and caption. Every example is printed on the back and front of the swatch, so that all the typefaces in the book can be compared. Ian Pape's own design work has been published in "Design and Art Direction" and "Graphis" annuals.
