Bulbs ought to be planted in October or November, before the ground freezes, each clump, bed or border ought to be of one variety, shade or color; mixtures produce a bad effect and do not generally ?ower together, unless especially selected so to do.
Garden bulbs should be planted three to four inches deep, six inches apart, and the lines twelve inches distant from each other.
