The General Secretary accepted an invitation by the President of the United States to visit the United States of America, and the President of the United States accepted an invitation by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the cpsu to visit the Soviet Union. Arrangements for and timing of the visits will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels. In their meetings, agreement was reached on a number of specific issues.
