Publisher's Synopsis

Death and the Flower is a collection of six short stories centred on the themes of family and peril. In 'Disposable Diapers and Race Car Replica' a father goes out on his motorbike to buy nappies for his child, and is struck by a car on the way. This tragic accident turns out to have been orchestrated by a band of heartless young men, one of whom the father used to tutor. Other stories feature an artificial respirator that makes noises which confuse the hospital staff; and a married couple who live in fear of a stalker who knows details about their lives that he ought not to.
