This was proven recently by the 2016 Nobel Prize Winners in Chemistry: J.P. Sauvage, J.F. Stoddart, and B.L. Feringa. They were awarded that prize for developing over a 33 year period, a few very simplistic molecular machines, which are not live of course. They are almost infinitely more simplistic than any of the highly complex molecular machines assembled for our cells every day.
This proves beyond doubt that it is impossible for any theoretical process like "Evolution," which has no intelligence to use, to be the cause of life.
