Publisher's Synopsis
From the time of the first report on a carbon monoxide reactive pigment in liver microsomes 30 years ago, cytochrome P-450 has evolved rapidly into an intensively studied research area. As a result of the crucial role this enzyme plays in the metabolism and regulation of cells, a large scientific community has become involved in its research and development.;This volume contains the proceedings of the Sixth International Conference on Biochemistry and Biophysics of Cytochrome P-450 held at the University of Economics, Vienna, in July 1988. The papers have been divided into five sections, covering such topics as genetics, dynamics and environmental aspects.;The work should be of interest to biochemists, geneticists, pharmacists, toxicologists and others interested in drug metabolism.
