Publisher's Synopsis
Oblerian. Ecko hates this dying world that's become her temporary home. It's predatory and vampiric in every way imaginable, and some that are not so imaginable! Every living thing is prey to something even hungrier. Even the plant life will eat you if you let your guard down.
As the only Mirror Walker in existence, Ecko can leave this dreadful world anytime she chooses. But nearly all of her loved ones are on Oblerian, and as long as they are trapped here, so too, is she. She refuses to leave them behind. Besides, she made a promise to Boodark to break the curse that the witch of the Black Forest placed on him and his family. She means to keep that promise... one way or another.
One would think that inheriting the magnitude of magic that comes with being named Mirror Walker would make her life easier. It has not. It is now her duty to do the impossible. Somehow, she must battle the evil Shadow magic that is tainting this, and so many other worlds. There's a veritable list of daunting tasks that she must see to. So many people to save, so many wrongs to right. Evil must be vanquished, and time is rapidly running out.
And why does there have to be so many bad guys? Why can't everyone just get along?
