It is mid winter in a quiet rural backwater of northern England in the shadow of Fiends Fell that carries the legend of malevolent demons. Murder is rare in these farming communities but when it strikes it unleashes a wave of fear and mistrustamong the residents, some of who believe it is the work of an evil spirit. The police suspect they are dealing with a cold blooded assassin with no social conscience. A criminal psychopath with an urge to kill other human beings. This killer is crazed but smart and the investigation needs assistance from an unlikely source if they are going to stop further murders from the mysterious maniac. Which fiend will have the final say?
