Publisher's Synopsis
This special issue of The International Journal of Aviation Psychology is devoted to an exposition of current research in the area of advanced cockpit interface concepts. Its purpose is to highlight some of the innovative research being pursued in the general area of advanced cockpit display development. Focusing on multisensory displays and featuring work conducted in the United States and The Netherlands, the papers describe research efforts devoted to the development of innovative crewstation and cockpit display concepts.
