Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Crop Rotations in the Prairie Provinces
Wide variations in climatic conditions are experience-d throughout the Prairie Provinces. Although the area, as a whole, might be described as having a continental, semi - arid to sub-humid climate, such differences exist as to profoundly affect the growth of crops in various districts. To the very great variations in soil zones and soil types, as discussed in another chapter of this bulletin, there must be considered, also, the variable effect of climate. These factors should be studied in any consideration of agronomic results.
The following tables give information on certain meteorological conditions on the Dominion Experimental Farms in the Prairie Provinces.
