Publisher's Synopsis
Developing critical thinking stands out as a necessary skill for the 21st century, especially in the face of the plethora of fake news, lying social media posts, and unverified or lacking-of-peer-reviewing information. This scenario, so evident in recent political campaigns and which was exacerbated during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, is the ideal for all teachers in the world to educate in the development of critical thinking in students.
It is necessary then, that education in chemistry advances in the development of student citizens who are aware of their environment, responsible for their daily actions, who think critically and who propose solutions to the socio-environmental problems of humanity. Dear fellow teachers: the real life and future daily professional application of our students does not require choosing the correct answer in a multiple-choice exercise or solving rudimentary chemistry exercises. I invite you to improve the critical thinking of your students and for this I humbly present this proposal.
