This book, consisting of 5 short chapters, was written to teach children how to draw characters, animals and objects in a cartoon version. The first pages contain some tips to help readers acquire the necessary tools required for this activity. Following this step, it is explained how to take inspiration from a picture ( the balloon fish) by observing its shape and how to recreate it by following the given instructions. The guide includes some exercises that can be done following the demonstrated methods by using colored pencils and markers. As a matter of fact, the purpose of the guide is to help children to learn how to draw through exercise and perseverance in order to obtain an appreciated outcome. Since the guide is not easily understood by very young children, the help of an adult is required.
