Publisher's Synopsis
Counselling, advice, guidance and information provision are increasingly being recognized as significant elements in the measures to deal with unemployment. In addition it is hoped that such intervention will make the labour market work more efficiently. This report summarizes the results of the first phase of EFLWC's programme EUROCOUNSEL. this aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of counselling services for the unemployed and those at risk of becoming so. Initial research techniques and practice are described and interim results discussed. In conclusion, proposals for the next phase of research are discussed.
