Publisher's Synopsis
This briefing was developed to provide a person or a group of persons with an overview of the subject matter so they might be kept abreast of everything of importance; allowing them to make a decision, act on information provided, or request additional facts when necessary. Through the Corresponding Studies Program you are required to present briefings to selected audiences. During this subcourse you will learn what a briefing it, the types of briefings, and the steps that you go through in preparing a briefing. We will also define "verbal communication." Senior NCOs must assess and describe situations in brief, clear terms. They must also seek decisions and inform commanders of present situations. The most appropriate method employed with the Army to accomplish these tasks is the military briefings and gives you the opportunity to practice these skills by presenting briefings. Keys to communication are also discussed.
