Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Conversation in German on a Grammatical Basis
It is neither necessary nor desirable that the question should be slavishly formed in the exact words of the sentence. The freer the question, the greater will be the exertion on the part of the student in forming his answer, and the quicker will he become independent in the use of the language. Nor is it necessary to avoid in the question all the words the student is not supposed to know, since one or two new words introduced into a group of familiar ones will easily be under stood by him, and added to his vocabulary. It would, of course, be an additional assistance to find them written before him on the black-board. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
