Publisher's Synopsis
The objective of this book of readings is to present in one place some of the key papers relating to labour economics in general, and the Australian labour market in particular. The five topics chosen for the readings are designed to cover the key issues located in the labour market area. It is hoped that those included give a flavour of the sort of questions that labour economists analyze and the techniques that they deploy. They also indicate that labour economics is a subject-area in which controversy is inherent and fierce.
