As the pandemic sweeps the globe, an international team of medics races against time to contain the mutating bug. The cast includes Kate Winslet, Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Laurence Fishburne, Marion Cotillard and Jude Law. In 'Outbreak' (1995) a deadly virus from the African rainforests breaks out in Cedar Creek, California, after a monkey carrying the disease is transported over illegally. Those who are infected soon die and it is up to Colonel Sam Daniels (Dustin Hoffman), a US army viral expert, to find an antidote. To do this he must track down the carrier monkey but he is placed under extra pressure when his own wife is infected.
