These views, it must he confessed, are drawn rather from the great fountain of Gospel truth, than from the prevalent practice and the temper of the times. Somehow, it has come to be regarded as more honora ble to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand, than it once was. SO that even a young man will often feel slighted, if compelled to go where some one has not already done the hardest of the work, and prepared a place for him.
