"Connect" is a course for adolescents who have already learnt English for two or three years. It consists of two closely linked levels, with a third level which provides natural follow-on and extension work where needed.;"Connect" uses natural interests, and the school and home worlds of this age group to provide extensive practice in a cross-curricular context.;Other features of "Connect" are: revision of language learnt to date; cross-curricular approach, linking the English language content with that introduced in other school subjects, and with real life outside the classroom; emphasis on buiding up learner independence through project work; systematic approach to grammar and vocabulary learning; involvement of the learner in the understanding and fromulation of grammatical rules; practice of pronunciation and intonation in enjoyable contexts.
