Not until the subcommittee voted Mr. Morton in contempt, and all indications here were that the full committee would report the con tempt citation. Did he comply. Mr. Morton has the dubious distinction of being the first cabinet secretary to be cited for contempt during a congressional inquiry.
In connection with another of its investigations, that same sub committee had also issued a subpena to the Secretary of Health.
