Due to tragedy that hit my family, many of the poems written in this book took a dark turn, but I hope you will feel encouraged that I bring it back to light. I am D.E. McLeod and I am a Christian poet and writer. My work is faith based and also day-to-day life based. I hope that my words bring you comfort and I hope that I can speak to your heart through my verses. Poetry is my passion and I do it all for Christ Jesus, my Savior. This book took several months to complete, wanting to get everything perfect before publishing. I want the world to have this book, to strike a chord with the youth as well as the older generations. My poetry is faith-based, but I think everyone can find something worthwhile in this little book. Many of my poems are prayers to the Lord, praise, worship, and how I feel at the moment. I also share poems that tell stories. Sort of like a country western, I write about simple people, heartbreak, and faith in the true Living God.
