Publisher's Synopsis
Lightning protection has been practised for more than 200 years, but a precise expression for the protective effect of air termination is still lacking. Today, the accepted opinion is that it must be considered as a probability problem. This text considers new theory and method, suitable for computer application, for the numerical evaluation of the risk of a lightning strike, and presents the protective effect of air termination systems. The author aims to make it possible to design lightning protection systems using numerical data.
