Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Complete Caligraph Instructor
If the space between lines is not uniform, it is because the Operator does not pull the lever toward him as far as he can, and so makes single space when he ought to make double space; or else, because he gives the lever a second jerk, thus making extra space between lines. Avoid this. When spacing between lines, pull the lever forward once as far as it will go, then do not pull the lever again.
