This report provides the complete set of texts relating to international migration, extracted from the outcome documents of the United Nations conferences and summits. Consequently, this compilation permits to assess in which areas there is already consensus regarding measures that can improve the benefits of international migration and address its drawbacks. In addition, this report presents a comparison of the recommendations emanating from the United Nations conferences and summits with the recommendations made by the Global Commission on International Migration, an independent body set up at the initiative of a number of governments.
