"Community Education in the Third World" is the companion volume to "Community Education in the Western World" by Cyril Poster and Angelika Kruger (Routledge, 1990). It contains information on the development of community education from and about Third World countries. The influence of Paolo Freire permeates the book, although each country and continent has had to seek its own path and its own methodology. With contributions from a wide variety of countries, the contributors offer a framework in which theory and practice are mutually supportive.
