Publisher's Synopsis
The language/action perspective was introduced into the field of information systems in the early 1980s, and provided a new basic paradigm for Information Systems Design. This workshop examined the foundations of the language/action perspective, and sought some convergence on the formal and logical underpinnings of communication models. It brought together researchers from business administration, linguistics and computer science, and industrial users interested in the theory of communicative action and the modelling of business processes. The full papers from Communication Modeling - The Language/Action Perspective are available on-line at: http://www.springer.co.uk/eWiC/Workshops/CM96.html This booklet provides the passwords needed to access the web site.
