Publisher's Synopsis
"Common Sense and Uncommon Sensitivity" came to mind as a poetry book title in a time and era when both are lacking. The villain is modern poetry that does not subscribe to such values, but wallows in mediocre writing that disdains both common sense and sensitivity. I have chosen the extra step of discipline in my poetry to ensure both meter and rhyme are presented as music for the soul. These two features of classical poetry demand considerable additional time and attention to detail with the result intended to outlast this time and era and be included in the centuries to come where one revels in the feelings and sensitivities of classical poetry.
This is my eighty-fourth (83rd) book of classical poetry and my one hundred-seventh (106th) book of various genre from historical novels and history to biographies, family relationships and wisdom. My poetry covers a vast spectrum of subjects which I divide into sections of ten poems each for a minimum of 100 poems per volume. The Society of Classical Poets, the most prestigious American poetry society, has published more than 140 of my poems to date. I have lived a fortunate life that includes living abroad and reporting on a vast variety of subject during my time as an Army Military Intelligence collector and analyst. Academically, I have three Masters Degrees, completed all the work and passed the oral and written exams for the doctorate; however, I remain in the status of ABD (all but the dissertation. I have been an acclaimed and award-winning singer, a Russian Foreign Area Officer, US Foreign Service Officer in Russia and Manager for IBM for the Russian Far East territory.
