Sequel to Mountain Drifter, Spence Pierce decides that Texas is the place he should be. The trip to Texas carries him across Indian Territory, across the Paso Duro Canyons where he encounters Comancheros and settlers. A railroad team hires him to guide them across West Texas and finally he joins the Texas Rangers. Outlaws, mine stealers and others adventutes leads to an encounter with Comanche Indians. Meanwhile an chestnut haired young lady finds herself with amnesia and about to be married as the third wife of a Morman farmer. Running away she joins a family moving to Texas. Stolen in a raid on her ranch she ends up the captive of the Comanches and a most welcome rescue by the Texas Rangers.
