The Starter Guides are aimed at the complete beginner who wants to learn the basics of different aspects of painting.
The contents are organised into two main chapters - the first looks at the theory of the subject and teaches techniques; the second, "Practical Exercises", puts these into practice through step-by-step examples and mini exercises. A specially created "Practice Page" allows the reader to consolidate skills learnt in the first chapter, before moving on to complete the main projects.
Each book contains 7 practical projects which put into action the skills learn in the first chapter.
