The traces of the past, infused in the transformations and evolutions of the present, characterize what the Order of St. John was and is. The Order of St. John played a decisive role from a geopolitical and geo-economic point of view on the island of Malta. Its presence has influenced the social, economic, cultural and other aspects of the current and former population of the Maltese archipelago. Malta and its Knights form an inseparable couple, which together with the octagonal cross, evoke distant periods of immortal memory and the myth of their value still influences our imagination. The Maltese Cross, an unforgettable medieval logo, is engraved in the hearts of all its members. Through our publications we try to contribute and pay tribute to the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, known by the acronym S.O.S.J., which continued its activities in Russia after the loss of the island of Malta, then in the United States and finally in Malta.This collection of historical fragments, in addition to contextualizing the period between 1795 and 1802, enriches our knowledge of these events that have marked the history of Europe.
