The aim of this atlas is to cover the key areas that concern those who see injury and other conditions in children resulting from sporting activities and who need to understand the different concerns that apply to children and adolescents involved in sports.;The atlas brings together an international team of contributors, each expert in their own field, to cover a range of key areas from commmon injuries to the foot, to injuries of the lower and upper limbs, through to the physiology and nutrition of children in sport, pre-participation screening, exercise for children with chronic conditions, the psychology of stress in sport, issues for young female athletes, training and testing and the role of accident and emergency in paediatric sports.
