Publisher's Synopsis
This collection of sonnets was inspired over the years by my personal life circumstances both professional, educational, and political experiences. It embraces my heritage of an African American Woman growing up in Middle Class Blended family in America. The shock of becoming a single parent and learning how to jungle my professional life and parenthood. While fully engaging and being around my daughter's friends, classmates, and squad members in Perry Hall, Maryland. I learned that every person is an individual with their unique flaws and strengths. It takes open mindedness to embody the whole individual. Take this journey with me to enjoy, cry, and laugh out loud with the poetry embodied within these pages.
