The C.L.A.S.S. interactive lesson is a multimedia tutorial that provides an electronic teaching and learning tool. Like the rest of the C.L.A.S.S. components the interactive lesson is organized by body region. There are high resolution colour photos and line drawings from the textbook and atlases are presented on-screen, along with brief text and multiple choice questions. Computer animation techniques are employed to illustrate how processes such as descent of the testes or rotation of the gut actually unfold.;The tutorial is structured as follows: the program comprises lessons derived from "Socratic" questions (between 7 and 12 lessons per region); each lesson includes 2 to 6 "cards" addressing this lesson; each card then includes between 1 and 5 multiple choice questions relating to the image and text on screen; pop-up boxes explain why the student's answer is right or wrong; and "see labelled picture" prompt brings an image with a list of structures.
