One of the students in the course in 1963 has transcribed his notes, seeking to maintain the integrity of Dr. King's own expressions and expressiveness. Despite being trapped in a wheelchair, Dr. King energetically brought students to meet with God in His Word with a balance of solid scholarship and godly insight. The editor, William H. Smallman, was an aerospace design engineer until serving as a missionary in Brazil, mission administrator, and adjunct professor of Missiology. After college and seminary, he completed the M.A. in Communications (Wheaton) and Doctor of Missiology (TEDS).
