The nautre of new testament theology has been a subject of discussion for over 2,000 years. This book will be based on a current critical consensus but will not be written from a conservative or evangelical perspective, as number of existing NT theologies are.
New Testament Theology, as a discipline, aims to understand, intepret and communicate Christiainity through its account of the New Testament, using methods of historical criticism. This book will build on that work while also using a literary paradigm to understand the books and intentions of the writers of the New Testament. This dual approach reflects the best of modern scholarship and allows the richness of the books themselves to shine through.
