Excited and optimistic, May, her two close friends Pat and Fay, and her 16-year-old daughter Alice set out to hike the 33-mile Chilkoot Trail from Alaska to the Yukon. The unknown wilderness runs along their path and hypothermia, a forest fire and a lost canoe are just some of the challenges these women must face together. When a precious artifact goes missing on the trail, Alice is disheartened and questions her own group's involvement.
