There were many difficulties in connection with the alphabetical arrangement, therefore I have placed all Oils, Syrups, Tinctures, Waters, etc., etc., under one head, so that the finding of any certain article would thereby be facilitated. As many names in English, Latin and German correspond, and many German names cannot be translated, one should, if a name does not appear in the English part seek it in the Latin or German part, and vice versa. In recommending this work I feel assured it will fulfill its purpose, and herewith submit it to a discerning Public.
