Publisher's Synopsis
Set primarily in picturesque Lake Tahoe, Chasing the Wanderer is a story about navigating through the turbulent path of dating in the digital age, seen through the eyes of the college-aged staff that work at a local resort. It chronicles a messy millennial love triangle as they experience the highs and lows of modern relationships in this contemporary, social media obsessed world. Chasing the Wanderer follows twenty-two-year-old Teddy Thickett, a socially awkward bartender who has long given up hope of finding love in today's hookup-based society, who has a fear of saying those three little words-"I love you"-to any girl he has ever dated. Teddy's world is thrown upside down when he falls for twenty-one-year-old Sydney Auclair, a witty socialite from Los Angeles, who moves to Teddy's small lake town for the summer to work. They have a whirlwind summer fling, but it ends abruptly when Sydney moves back to Southern California and gets engaged to another man, spiraling Teddy into a deep depression. That is until he meets twenty-two-year-old Madison de la Huerta, a spunky yoga instructor moonlighting as an exotic dancer who is desperately trying to get out of town.
