Excerpt from Charter and by-Laws of the Western Railroad Company: With the Amendments, and a List of the Officers for the Year 1861
Sec. 11. Be it further enacted, That the said Company shall issue certificates of stock to its members, and said stock may be transferred in such manner and form as may be directed by the bye-laws of the Company.
