Publisher's Synopsis
The first section of this book deals with aspects of the management of change in general practice. Each article includes principles and theory, usually at a fairly fundamental level, and usually illustrated with real examples of problems and solutions from the authors' practices. The theses are: how are the changes to be best brought about? The second sector discusses the current state of the primary healthy care team - ie all those who deliver care to patients in the community. Each article focuses on a task, though inevitably there is some overlap. The increasing importance of all members of the team is emphasized, particularly the roles of the practice nurse and the practice manager.
