Publisher's Synopsis
This book 'The holy biography of Chaitanya Mahäprabhu' is the collections from various sources of the literatures mainly based with the points of the activities published in the book written by the renowned sage a celibate named Prabhudutta Brahmachäri from Vrindävan. I had an opportunity to stay with him during the year 1966 from January to mid-April about 100 days when I was just fourteen years of age. I was there along with my reverend guru Shree Kavi Prasäd Gautam from Käthmändu to participate as the representative from Nepäl in the concluding ceremony of his yearlong vow. He was not eating grains but maintaining just by water and milk and wearing cloths made of jute for one-year demanding protection of the cows from Government of India from slaughtering them so that the religious rites of Hinduism would maintain and the country would make progress with peace and prosperities in the societies. The function was organized there in the river bank of Yemunä where the wide area of farmland maintained by sage Prabhudutta Brahmachäri was converted into a grand festival place for three months long 'Yegyan'. That organization was supported by the gathering of the representatives of all the state of India and also from Nepäl. I was given a hut at that place where I was supposed to recite Shreemad Bhägavat regularly along with the worshiping of Lord Krishna and also performing a small fire-rite 'Yegyan' every day. I was given to eat food at the kitchen of sage Prabhudutta himself and was given to stay at the hut for that purpose inside the area of that festivity. It was the place just across river Yemunä from Vansivat, Vrindavan where the main hermitage of Prabhudutta Brahmachäri was situated. He was impressed by my performance there as such and would visit every day to my place to look the situation and appreciate my recitation of the Sanskrit scripture of Bhägavat so well at that childhood age. I feel greatly obliged by the sage celibate Prabhudutta Brahmachäri for his compassionate love to a child like me and offering great opportunity at that grand function. I had also opportunities to see the other famous sages visiting there in the function from different parts of India like Rev. Omkäreshwar Bäbä, Devarahä Bäbä and many other famous sages also from different places of India at that time. I got to read some important books written in Hindi by sage Prabhudutta Brahmachäri including the book named 'Shree Chaitanya Charitävali' printed in five volumes giving extensive description of the birth up to the time of his disappearance of that famous joint incarnation of Lord Krishna and his beloved childhood maid Rädhä in the form of Chaitanya Mahäprabhu. Chaitanya Mahäprabhu was born in February 1486 (1542 Fälgoon BS) in Navadweep and disappeared on July 1534 (1590 Aäshädh BS) at the age of 48 inside the temple of Jagannäth who made widespread propagation of Lord Krishna's chanting Hare Krishna Bhajan, the holy names of Lord Supernal from his incarnations. There is a story that Rädhä asked the purpose of her dream with him when they were roaming at Vrindävan "O Dear Û I had a wonderful dream last night where a youth with very attractive figure like you but in golden physical appearance was singing Krishna Û Krishna Û and dancing in the very lovely poses attractive by flying his hands up with the deepest sentiment of love divine. He was in a place of large river stretch like the river Yemunä here in Vrindävan. He was flowing down tears of love profusely and was looking enjoying divine bliss continuously. He was also recalling me 'O Rädhä Û Rädhe Û and crying in blissful sense. O Dear Krishna Û I do not see anybody else in this world who could enjoy divine presence within and cry with tears of love flowing in depth of blissful sentiment like you and me at present here at Vrindavan. I want to know who was that attractive youth I had seen in my dream."
