Excerpt from Cerebral and Ophthalmic Complications in Sphenoidal Sinusitis
In the two cases which I am able to put on record, the sphenoidal origin Of intra-cranial suppuration is fully established. In one case it assumed the form Of acute, suppurative basic meningitis and in the other, that Of thrombo-phlebitis of the cavernous sinus. In both cases the diagnosis was made during life, and was confirmed by post-mortem examination. I will give the records of both cases, before Offering any comments or deductions.
