Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Centrifugal Pumps: Their Design and Construction
An examination of centrifugal pump literature, published in the English language, yields little information of value to those interested in this subject. The initial development and introduction of high pressure centrifugal pumps were due to the energy and enterprise of European engineers, as was the case in the development of the steam turbine. It is quite natural, therefore, that the best literature upon this subject is published abroad, although even there we find few complete and satisfactory works, the information as a rule being distributed in the technical magazines.
