Table, the first of this volume, gives an account of the total number of acres of land owned by the residents of each Census District, and also of the number and tonnage of ships owned by the population of each District. It is the general state ment of the landed and maritime pmperty, according to the residence of the proprietors but irrespective of the situation of the property.
