Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Catalogue of Hindustani Printed Books in the Library of the British Museum
The present Catalogue of Hindustani books has been compiled, as far as possible, in strict accordance with the cataloguing rules in force in the General Library of the British Museum. The transliteration of authors' names and of the titles of books is also based on precisely the same method as that which has been approved of and adopted in the preparation of other Catalogues of works in the Oriental section of the Department of Printed Books in the British Museum.
